This notice explains how Clove Hitch Labs handles information when you use the Fetch Weather website, progressive web app, Android application or iOS application. It covers account information, saved locations, support messages, advertising configuration and technical data needed to operate the service. It also explains how to contact us or request access to information associated with your account.
We collect personal information that you choose to provide when you create an account, save preferences, subscribe to Pro, submit a support message or otherwise contact us. You can browse the public forecast without creating an account.
The personal information we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the App, the choices you make, and the features you use. This may include:
We may receive technical information when you visit or use the service, such as browser and device characteristics, operating system, language, referring URL, approximate location (derived from your IP address or network) and information about how the service is used. Precise device location is only used when you grant permission for location-based features; it provides your local weather, and forecast and location-search requests are sent in real time to our weather data provider without being retained by us as a search history. If you opt in to weather notifications, an approximate location (rounded to roughly 1 km) is stored on our servers so alerts can follow you, and saved locations and preferences you choose are stored with your account so they sync across devices. We only share information in specific situations. Your data is processed securely through our hosting infrastructure, which maintains rigorous safety standards, including SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. No purpose in this notice will require us to keep your personal information for longer than two (2) years after an account becomes inactive.
We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organisational and technical security measures. Your database, authentication systems, and file storage leverage enterprise-grade security protocols, including end-to-end transit encryption and restricted-access protocols. However, please remember that no electronic transmission over the internet can be 100% secure.
We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. Advertising is configured to be non-personalised, child-directed and G-rated/family-safe.
Depending on your location (such as the UK, EEA, or certain US states), you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing of your personal data, as well as data portability. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Free users may see advertisements served by Google AdSense on the web, Google AdMob on Android, and Apple's iOS advertising services in the iOS application. Fetch Weather serves only non-personalised ads across web, Android and iOS. All ad requests are tagged as child-directed and limited to G-rated, family-safe content.
No cross-app tracking or IDFA is used on iOS, and Fetch Weather does not show an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. The Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info/choices links are provided for general information only; no advertising-personalisation choice is enabled in Fetch Weather. Pro subscribers do not see advertisements and are not served AdSense cookies.
We respect your privacy and give you full control over your personal information, in strict compliance with applicable app store data policies. You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and any associated personal data at any time. To initiate this process within the app, simply navigate to your account page and select delete account. You can also go to the website fetchweather.app/delete-account (Menu > Account > Delete Account). If you no longer have the app installed, you can submit a data deletion request via the web by emailing our support team directly at info@clovehitchlabs.com. Once your request is submitted, we will securely erase your profile, activity, and personal data from our servers within 30 days, excluding any data we are legally required to retain for regulatory or security purposes.
